Sclerotherapy
For spider, reticular and selected small superficial veins, using a fine needle to inject a sclerosing solution.
Explore Sclerotherapy →Assessment and treatment for visible spider veins, facial thread veins and varicose veins. Our treatment range includes sclerotherapy, laser vein treatment, Veinwave, EVLT and microphlebectomy, allowing the approach to be selected according to the type, size and location of the vein concern.
Different vein problems require different approaches. Small superficial vessels may be suitable for injection, laser or thermocoagulation treatments, while larger varicose veins may require an endovenous or minor surgical approach. Explore each treatment below for procedure-specific information.

Explore Laser Vein Treatment →
Thermocoagulation treatment designed for small visible facial thread veins and other delicate superficial vessels.
Explore Veinwave (Face) →
Endovenous laser therapy for varicose veins, using a laser fibre to close the affected vein from within.
Explore EVLT →
A minimally invasive procedure in which selected visible varicose veins are removed through very small skin openings.
Explore Microphlebectomy →
Assessment and treatment of small red vascular skin lesions, with the treatment method selected after examination.
Explore Cherry Angioma Removal →The visible appearance alone does not always tell us which treatment is appropriate. Consultation helps distinguish small cosmetic vessels from larger varicose veins and determines whether further assessment is needed before treatment.
Fine red, purple or blue vessels may be considered for treatments such as sclerotherapy, laser vein treatment or Veinwave depending on their site and characteristics.
Bulging or symptomatic varicose veins may require a different pathway. EVLT and microphlebectomy are among the options offered by the clinic for selected patients.
Small red vascular skin lesions should be assessed before removal so the clinician can confirm the diagnosis and select an appropriate treatment method.
Your consultation considers the location and appearance of the veins, symptoms, relevant medical history, medication and previous vein treatment. The clinician can then discuss which option is appropriate and what results and recovery are realistic for your case.
Discuss visible veins, symptoms, duration, previous treatment and what you hope to improve.
The clinician examines the type, size and distribution of the vessels and whether further investigation is appropriate.
Options may include injection treatment, external laser, thermocoagulation, EVLT or microphlebectomy depending on the findings.
Some concerns may require more than one session. Follow-up and aftercare depend on the procedure performed and your response.
Some people seek treatment because veins are visually noticeable; others have symptoms associated with varicose veins. The treatment goal and appropriate investigation therefore differ from person to person.
Spider veins and facial thread veins are often treated primarily because of their appearance. Results are gradual and new vessels can develop over time even after treated vessels improve.
Prominent leg veins can sometimes be associated with aching, heaviness or other symptoms. Tell the clinician about symptoms rather than focusing only on the visible vein.
Tell the team about prescribed medicines, previous clots, vascular history and relevant medical conditions. Do not stop prescribed medication unless the clinician responsible for your care specifically advises it.
